Tangguh to Sell Spare LNG Supplies

Indonesia’s Tangguh liquefied natural gas plant in West Papua plans to offer as many as eight cargoes of the fuel to the spot market, according to oil and gas regulator BPMigas.

“Six is the minimum, up to eight, depending on production,” Rudi Rubiandini, deputy of operations at BPMigas, said by telephone from Jakarta. The cargoes will begin loading in May and continue through the year, he said. Read more…

Listrik Negara, BP in Talks for Tangguh LNG Long-Term Supply

PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara, Indonesia’s state-owned utility, is in talks to buy 1 million metric tons a year of liquefied natural gas from BP Plc’s (BP/) Tangguh plant in West Papua province.

“We are looking for a long-term contract of more than 10 years,” Nur Pamudji, the president director of the electricity supplier, said in an interview in Jakarta today. The cleaner- burning fuel will be used to supply a floating terminal in offshore North Sumatra, which will be built by PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGAS), he said. Read more…
